Moving from US to GTO - HELP?

Hello GTO List. I came to Guanajuato to learn Spanish and after 5 months have fallen in love. My plan is to get my English teaching credentials in California, and then move back to GTO (specifically Guanajuato City Centro). Target move date: Early 2018.

Has anyone been through the process of moving and working here, from the US? What visas and working permits are involved? How long do these visas or permits last? What are the best publications / websites to find apartments? Any tips on schools that teach English? Any other resources / websites that might be helpful for me?

I know there are (paid) consultants who can help me through this process, but would love feedback from those who have been through it. THANKS!
