There is no bus from the airport. Your friends could, however, take a cab from the airport to the Silao bus terminal, then catch a bus to Guanajuato. A cab to Silao costs 150 pesos, versus 390 to Guanajuato, according to the airport website. Primera Plus buses from Silao cost 31 pesos, and less luxo service would cost less.
Total cost would be less than half what the airport taxis get, and much less than US$40. Don |
