Yes MNRon, I am serious. I am stating what I do, and offering advice. I have never been robbed or assaulted in Mexico. The perpetrators of these types of crimes start to come out of the woodwork at about 5 PM and there is the remote possibility of them not having gone back into the woodwork early in the morning, such as before 8AM. They're kind of like vampires. There was a report here of a robbery in broad daylight at 7 something AM if I remember correctly. The original poster stated that he continued to walk around until 3:30 AM, even after being assaulted. The chances of being robbed or assaulted between 10 AM and 4 PM are nil.
