Well, it seems that one inauguration for the refurbished ballpark wasn't enough, so there will be another one at 6 PM Saturday, May 18.

On another note, I went to Aguascalientes in the middle of this week, and took in a double-header between Los Rieleros and the Saraperos de Saltillo. (They played two because Tuesday night's game was rained out.) I can report that Aguascalientes has a good-quality ballpark (renoved in 2004), and friendly and enthusiastic fans. The quality of the concessions is below Latin American standards (burros and potato chips, no hot dogs, tacos, tamales, or tortas) and beer is 30 pesos. The choice is Modelo claro or Victoria oscura, and in two of three cases, I was delivered a claro when I asked for an oscura. My box seat cost 120 pesos.
