You would have a good point, jesm, if this had been a typical baseball game. But it wasn't. This was part of a tournament in which the run differential is factored into the standings. Therefore, bunting with a big lead, while normally frowned upon, is totally legit. It's also, of course, totally within the rules.
Trying three times to hit the batter, and finally succeeding, is not. A shameful day for Mexican sports. Don |
