Film Night, Thurs., Feb. 4

According to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, 70% of Mexicans aged 15 and older are overweight and 33% obese. This is the highest rate in the world. Mexico also has the dubious honor of being second only to the United States in diabetes. Barry and I recently watched an excellent, if disturbing, hour-long film called Globesity, about the rise of obesity throughout the world, with particular focus on Mexico and other emerging economies.

We are hosting a film evening at our home this Thursday, Feb. 4 at 6:00 p.m. to watch the film and discuss it after. Drinks and (healthy!) snacks will be served. If interested in joining us, please confirm by emailing louisarogers51@gmail.com and I will send directions.
