Call Forwarding on Telmex Land Lines

You can activiate/de-activate Call Forwarding on your Telmex land line, with most plans. This comes in handy while waiting eternally for a repair person or an airline's lost baggage service to never call you back, and in cases when the other party can't or won't call a cell phone and incur the toll charge. Here are the instructions:

Para activarlo, usa un tel?fono de tonos, marca *21* + tel?fono donde deseas recibir la llamada + #. Para desactivar marca #21#.

To activate, using a touch tone phone dial *21* + the number you want to forward to + #. To deactivate dial #21#.

If you are forwarding to a cell phone with the same area code prefix (e.g. 473), be sure to add the 044 prefix. To forward to a cell phone with a different area code prefix, you would need to add the 045 prefix ahead of the area code.
