Public or private health insurance options?
I'm familiar with the IMSS public health insurance program but am looking for alternatives with a better level of service. Are there other public or private health insurance plans for foreigners in GTO? Thanks, Mickey

If you qualify for IMSS you probably will qualify for insurance from any of the big Mexican insurers. You could start by Googling seguros medicos mx or if in Leon visit Hospital Angles up behind the Plaza Mayor where they all have offices. If you want ex-pat insurance offered from outside of Mexico you'll be paying a stiff premium.

He has around 25 years experience in the insurance business and is as honest and reliable as they come. He has also come to Gto a couple of times to save me going to Leon (his office is close to the Plaza Mayor mall). If you're interested in contacting him I can send you his details. |

I have private Mexican health insurance arranged through a broker in Leon. He has around 25 years experience in the insurance business and is as honest and reliable as they come. He has also come to Gto a couple of times to save me going to Leon (his office is close to the Plaza Mayor mall). If you're interested in contacting him I can send you his details.
