Hello Rafael,
I'm sorry to hear that this happened to your friends. Please encourage them to report this to the police office (el Ministerio Publico). Hopefully the Mexican girl can go with your friend in case his Spanish isn't good enough. Their offices are on Alhondiga Street, 1/2 block above the Alhondiga. It is important that all crimes are reported so that maybe (some day, in my dreams!) the police department here improves. About a month ago, my neighbor and the shop attendant (both Mexicans) were held up at knife point in a little store on Pastita Street. It can happen to anybody, anywhere. Welcome to Guanajuato!
