Regrettably, I will no longer be available as the American Embassy Warden for the Cities of Guanajuato and Dolores Hidalgo. The behavior of the new president Republican Donald John Trump, continues to be unnecessarily antagonistic toward the country of Mexíco.
I call on Wardens of other cities to consider resigning until such time as the US Government returns to a normal diplomatic
policy toward Mexíco.

Will I still be able to get my passport renewed in San Miguel?

@pianoheat: Yes, you will still be able to renew your passport via the consular agency in San Miguel. The local Guanajuato post of embassy warden has nothing to do with passports or other essential U.S. citizen services.
