Regrettably, I will no longer be available as the American Embassy Warden for the Cities of Guanajuato and Dolores Hidalgo. The behavior of the new president Republican Donald John Trump, continues to be unnecessarily antagonistic toward the country of Mexíco.
I call on Wardens of other cities to consider resigning until such time as the US Government returns to a normal diplomatic
policy toward Mexíco.

Lamentablemente, ya no estaré disponible como Guardian de los Ciudades de Guanajuato y Dolores Hidalgo para la Embajada Americana. El comportamiento del nuevo presidente de los Estados Unidos, el Republicano Donald John Trump, continúa siendo innecesariamente antagonista hacia el país de México.
Llamo a los Guardianes de otras ciudades a que consideren renunciar hasta que el Gobierno de los Estados Unidos vuelva a una sana política diplomática hacia México.

@pianoheat: Yes, you will still be able to renew your passport via the consular agency in San Miguel. The local Guanajuato post of embassy warden has nothing to do with passports or other essential U.S. citizen services.
