Emergency numbers
My wife and I, newly retired, are spending six weeks in Guanajuato. We live about
75 steps up a callejon not too far from Centro Historico. While we are both in good health, I would like to know who to call in case of an emergency, and what we could expect should this happen. Thanks. |

RE: Emergency numbers
Welcome!
I first visited here for just a few days in '12 returning in '13 for a month. Then last year to Oaxaca but missed Guanajuato so back for 2 months this year. I use to know the Emergency # but now I am not sure. It may be 511 but do not rely on this Old Gringo's memory. Anyways enjoy Mexico's most colorful city to the fullest! |

RE: Emergency numbers
066 is the all-purpose emergency number. Expect to speak Spanish for what kind of emergency you are having.

RE: Emergency numbers
I read that 911 works here too but never tried it
(I've heard that it works around the world because of all the American movies the phone companies automatically redirect it) |
