Nevada Notary
Okay...so this isn't exactly a Gto question, but I thought it was worth a try.

Does anyone know a notary certified in Nevada?

Thanks so much!

RE: Nevada Notary
FYI from NV Sec of State website
Customer Alert
Online webcam notarizations are not permitted in the State of Nevada. A person seeking a notarization is required to personally appear before a notary public and sign the document in the presence of the notary. Appearance via a webcam or other electronic medium such as Skype does not meet Nevada?s law governing personal appearance. Please be aware of any online notarization service being offered by a private company. If you have any questions, please contact the Notary Division at 775-684-5708.

How is a notarized document authenticated for use overseas?
Most foreign countries insist that the notary's signature be authenticated and, again, this can only be accomplished through the Secretary of State's office. The act of authenticating the notarial officer's signature on documents going overseas is called an "Apostille" or "certification." You must let the individuals appearing before you know that they are responsible for sending their notarized document to the Secretary of State's office along with the appropriate fee of $20.00. The Secretary of State prepares the authentication and will then mail it and the notarized document back to the sender.

May I be appointed in more than one county in Nevada?
Your appointment authorizes you to notarize anywhere in the State, and the venue will reflect the county in which the notarial act is carried out. There is no need to be appointed in more than one county.

If you are thinking of finding a NV here in Mexico I think you'll find that he/she cannot notarize document out of his/her jurisdiction. You will find that you will probably have to go to San Miguel or another consulate or to NV to get the job done. Link to You are in:U.S. Citizen Services > Public Services > Notary Services

RE: Nevada Notary
Yes,a notary is only allowed to sign and authenticate within their state. The us consulate will provide a legal notary for $50 fee. You should call ahead to ensure the correct person will be in the consulate office when you arrive.
