Security problems in Pastita and Temezcuitate

Our committee is meeting next week with another neighborhood group and the person in charge of the "Vecino Vigilante" program. The public meeting we had last week was the 3rd here in Guijas, and we've decided that the next steps are to meet in small groups with the city officials involved; hopefully that way we'll get less talk and faster results.
We are also turning in letters on Monday to follow up on the other points I mentioned below, and to ask the mayor to contribute to the cost of the cameras. "Pestering" officials, city and otherwise, is becoming one of my strong points lately!
I'll be glad to report news here, if that's okay with the Forum, but if you send me your email, camOO, I can send you notices of our future meetings.
Here are links to the two articles that appeared in the local newspapers the day after our meeting. Please note that one of the articles has the names of the callejones wrong, and both give the impression that the meeting and cameras were Lic. Macias's idea. In fact, he wasn't even invited to the last meeting -- we had invited his boss, Lic. Ugalde, but he didn't come.
