Mexican Wills
FROM: Club de la Cultura Eclectica <operaeclectica@gmail.com>
Yesterday, 7:47 PM There's never a better time to get your Mexican Will prepared and registered. As Ruth Windsor mentioned in her Thinking Out Loud talk, throughout September and October, all Mexican notarios are offering discounts up to 50% off the cost of preparing your Mexican Will. A Mexican Will/Testamento is legally required if you own property—a home, condominium and/or land—in Mexico. Even if you do not own property in Mexico, a Mexican Will is also important if you have assets or valuable belongings in Mexico—motor vehicles, jewelry, art—and if you wish to make provisions for pets. If you have assets in Mexico and don’t have a Mexican Will, the State of Guanajuato determines how your property will be distributed. Required documents needed to prepare/obtain a Mexican Will: Passport or other identification and parents' full legal names, or birth certificate. |
