house construction costs

Hi we are considering building a house on some property we have near Leon. We are interested to speak with someone to determine the construction costs involved and the feasibility of it.

Does anyone have a contractor they would recommend? Or any information regarding building a house - costs, problems etc. from their personnel experience? I have heard that it is possible to build a house new modern house for $35- $50 a sq ft. (7000 - 10000 peso / sq meter).

We have lived in the GTO/ Leon several years ago, but had to return to the US, now we are planning to return permanently.

I would appreciate any references, recommendation, thoughts, or comments regarding this.

Costs per sq foot are kind of hard to pin down too many variables. We are into year three of a build in Guanajuato City, costs are low compared to NOB, but terrain, design and finish will dictate your final costs. PM me, I’d be happy to chat.
