I haven't heard anyone talking about this but apparently changes are coming. On August 3, 2019, Mexico gets rid of all of the prefixes (01, 045, 044) and goes to standard 10 digit numbers: 3 digit area code + 7 digit phone number.

There must be trouble in the conversion. Today I have to dial 01 473 xxx xxxx to make a local call when dialing from a Telmex land line.
