¡pobre de mí! just found that the burgle included my camera
Got a digital camera for sale?

I just discovered that the burgle a few
days ago also took my sweet little
Canon camera. I know it sounds
silly but this is the first time since age
15 that i have been without
a good camera and i feel nekkid. --dp

Amazon Prime Day today and tomorrow (Jul 15-16) - lots of cameras on sale.

I like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BV14I40/?co..._lig_dp_it

You can ship it to me and I'll be there in 2-3 weeks or maybe it's on sale at Amazon Mx too?

I'm on your email list too.

My current SLR (and the previous one as well) came from eBay. Purchased new. Look for the sellers based in the NYC area. They are the same people that used to have the stores with the great prices on 47th Street.

Mixed reviews .... I dealt with one of those NYC sellers on eBay once who held my order because "there was an issue with the order" which turned into a demand that I phone them and when I did, I got the old hard up-sell to accept a different model camera and finally when I wouldn't budge, got an up-sell for bag, lenses, acc., etc.

Short lesson here is to be prepared and if you are buying anything but new, it might be best to be in the US where you can "zip" something right back when you find you've landed in a trap like I did. Still Amazon does well to filter that out and I've actually never had an issue with a retailer selling through Amazon; the problem usually surfaces on returns and within the return window they often try to demand a restocking fee (or minimally return shipping) even if they sold you a broken device or the wrong device, and sometimes the products look like open boxes but I've been lucky and they've worked. Still if ordering and even is someone is bringing something like a camera to you, I'd have them open the box and take as many photos as they have time for so you'll know you didn't get taken on the deal and worry about getting it returned from Mexico.

But such are the perils of being in the US and right before your flight back to Mexico you think, oops I forgot to order a .....
