RE: Meeting some expats - Organic food and yoga
Regarding the few easy things previously noted about the city. I am on "re-entry time" still after being away for a few months. Here are a few random things for you that no one seems to share. Maybe it is my age or maybe simply the fact that while in the US everyone drives everywhere but here is what I always do not look forward to upon "re entry" to good old GTO ;-)

If you decide to rent or buy at one of the higher elevated locations, perhaps a place that is both a significant amount of steps above the center and below the panoromacia (where no rubber meets the road), you'll also learn a great deal about anatomy here, e.g. while becoming accustomed to moving around here you will be able to identify every muscle in the lower body and how much it can ache. The good news is that after about 3 months your legs will start to feel a bit unrecognizable to your senses and somewhat mechanical in nature, and you'll finally stop hurting but with that you'll have to learn how to effectually use them all over again once you venture back to the flatland.

Also a thing to be aware of here is that while living in the city center provides a break from mountain climbing, it provides a cost of less sunshine. So there are many factors to get used to here in our adopted fair city. So enjoy and always keep a second set of shoes handy.

Hi Don Juane !
Thanks for these valuable information ! Yes, it could be a little bit hard to go upstairs in Guanajuato for the first days or weeks ... especially as I didn't walk a lot lately in the freezing cold of Montreal ! But it will be a healthier life style there as we have to walk and walk up the steep stairs all day long !
As you're talking about health, do you think that in Guanajuato there will be people interested in natural therapies ? I'm thinking of moving to Guanajuato and live there part time or full time next winter, but I've to come and check if people could be interested by my work. I'm a therapist in Traditional Chinese Medicine and I'm practicing acupuncture but without needles (working with my fingers on Meridian points). I'm also using essential oils (there are some very effective for sore muscles by the way !), Bach Flower Remedies. I'm doing other therapies too but I'll talk more about it when I'll be there with people who could be interested.
For now I'm looking forward to be in Guanajuato and to relax :-) !
