My wife, thus my life, is one big garden adventure. We have visited many here, and many more in/around Silao. Our favorite by large measure is Tepeyac. It is a bit outside GTO on the free road toward Silao. Maybe 2 miles below Marfil. It is just before the Pueblo of Santa Teresa on the left side as you head south. If you reach the large Siemens facility on the right you have gone a little too far.
Fantastic selection, great quality, knowledgeable workers and fair prices. Large fruit trees to tiny succulents. They have it all.

Or, if you want to go to one of the big ones between Gto. and Leon, there is El Cubilete, just past Silao on your right (as you're heading toward Leon) after the big curve with the flying saucer-looking water tower.

On the other side of the road, coming FROM Leon, there are a few big ones, can't remember all the names. San Antonio is one (BTW they have bags of wonderful black earth from Michoacan ) While these places are right on the highway, you can't SEE them from the highway as you are driving toward Leon, only on the way back. Have to keep a sharp lookout. Happy plant shopping!
