volunteer English conversation
I am interested in this project and posting this message in hopes of recruiting volunteers.

Jeff is exploring the feasibility of committing to help advanced English students at the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Guanajuato (ITESG) by leading one hour small group English conversations. There is no teaching involved but students would participate during their regular English class hours.

ITESG is a public institution, offering highly motivated students an affordable four year degree in a technical fields. The ability to speak English can make a significant difference in their future employment. What these students need is experience conversing with English speakers to help them overcome their fears and to expose them to different accents.

ITESG is in Puentacillas and the Instituto can pick up and bring back facilitators from a predetermined central location in Guanajuato. The time commitment in total would be about 3 hours a week and volunteers will not have to commit to help every week. No specific day or time has been set as yet.

In order to commit to having a minimum of 3 facilitators every week it will probably be necessary to have a group of 15 volunteers, since so many of us English speakers travel often. If you want more information or want to volunteer please contact me directly at jeff.tashman@protonmail.com.

RE: volunteer English conversation
Hello,
Count me in as of Mid March. I have my temporary resident visa and plan to be in GTO by mid march 2018. I volunteer teaching English here in New Jersey and enjoy it. Looking forward to assisting as soon as I arrive.

RE: volunteer English conversation
We are seeking a few more volunteers to participate in helping students at a local technical college (ITSEG) with their English listening and speaking skills. Volunteers would commit to one three hour visit to the campus on a rotating weekly basis that will take into account your travel schedules. With a total of 15 volunteers the actual commitment would be once a month or less. The students are highly motivated and will be fun to work with. Contact: jeff.tashman@protonmail.com
