WARDEN MESSAGE (Martha E. Roberts - Guanajuato, Gto.)

Voter Information: There are only thirty days until U.S. general election on Tuesday, November 4, 2010.

Overseas voters may decide key Congressional, Senate and Gubernatorial elections in at least 10 states. To exercise this privilege and responsibility of US citizenship, overseas voters can go to www.fvap.gov that consolidates and simplifies all the states? information and contacts! Go to this site to download a state ballot, or to check the status of your ballot request. Also, available at www.fvap.gov is the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot, which is the back-up form in case you have not yet received a ballot. This lets you vote in FEDERAL elections in your state, such as for US Congressional Representatives and US Senators, and to write-in the names of candidates for other state positions. In case you receive the official state ballot later, still fill that one out and return it as soon as possible. Your election authorities will count only one. To return the marked ballot, you can use the mail, a commercial courier, or return the ballot to the nearest US consulate office or agency. You can also go to the nearest consulate or agency for the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot, and fill it out while you are there. The same office can mail your ballot for no charge. For more information, visit the Federal Voters Assistance Program at: www.fvap.gov or contact a Consulate or Embassy nearest you. You can reach us at US Embassy Mexico City in Room 101 or at (55) 5080-2000 ext. 4245; or by e-mail at acsmexicocity@state.gov.
