Guanajuato Animal Fest next weekend
Next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday there will be a series of events, called Guanajuato Animal Fest, throughout the city to encourage the humane treatment of animals and responsible pet ownership. The festival, sponsored by Amigos de los Animales, other animal-welfare organizations, and the Secretariat of Health, will feature lectures, exhibitions, workshops, discussions, a demonstration of a sterilization campaign, a parade of dogs in costumes, a dog competition (Super Mestizo), vegan stands, music, and many other forms of entertainment. Among its other activities during the weekend, Amigos de los Animales will have a rummage sale at the Plaza Allende (next to the Teatro Cervantes) on Sunday, starting at 11 a.m. We hope to see you at the festival! Sandra Ward |
