Many questions
Hola, We in the early stages of planning a trip to GTO and have many questions. Hoping to arrive with in the next couple of months and stay for at least that long. Currently we live in Ashland, Oregon and I am very fortunate to work remotely for a company out of Austin.
Number one issue for me is Internet Speed and reliability. From what I am reading within other Threads here, there are different Internet speeds available in different area of the city. What areas have the highest Download and Upload speeds available? I am currently using Ring Central with Magic Jack and call forwarding to my ATT cell as my backups. Does anyone have experience with high volume calls (both in and out bound) using any of these VOIP services? How about Web browser reliability? How often does internet in the city go down and for about how long? We will be traveling with our Brittany Spaniel and looking for a nice place to rent during our stay in GTO, looking for centrality located for walking, Classic historical, court yard, secure and must have a view! May possibly be open to a house swap for our Ahland home. I have read in some of the VRBO descriptions that parking is available near town. Is this secure and what is the cost? Finally (for this post), as you may have guessed by my chosen user name, I am pilot.....Hoping to get in contact with anyone familiar with the San Miguel Airport. It appears that little airport there is not currently permitted by the MX Govt, but it does have a couple hangers. Any info would be great! Gracias |

RE: Many questions
Just personal experience/opinion but since I purchased a Chrome Book (there are several brands but I have a Samsung) slow connections are not a problem I google chat to the states almost daily & watch streaming Netflix, You Tube, Crackle, PBS among others.
I also listen radio stations from my home area as well as all over the globe. At under $200 US they are terrific. In fact Apple has taken a real hit with many school districts choosing the 11.9" Chrome Book over I-pads. |
