U.S. Embassy change concerning passports
Subject: U.S. Embassy change concerning passports
United States Embassy Mexico City Message to U.S. Citizens Regarding New Appointment-Only Policy February 16, 2016 The United States Embassy in Mexico City informs U.S. citizens that as of Monday, February 22, 2016, we will no longer accept walk-in passport appointments. All passport applicants will need to make an appointment. This includes all adult and minor renewals, as well as replacement of emergency passports. We are making this change to provide better service. In addition, if you were given 90 days to provide additional evidence, you will also need to schedule a new appointment in order to return to the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City. In order to make an appointment and for further information about applying for a passport or CRBA, please visit our website: http://mexico.usembassy.gov/eng/citizen_services.html. For both passport renewals and first time applicants, we urge you to plan accordingly and apply for your passport well in advance of any intended travel. |
