15th anniversary party of Amigos de los Animales

We will celebrate our 15th anniversary on Saturday evening, February 27, with a party featuring live entertainment, a silent auction, and a raffle of great prizes. We are very pleased to announce that the party will be held at the beautiful Foro Cultural, Calle Positos No. 81, in historic Guanajuato. Proceeds from the party will be used to support our sterilization, public education, and rescue activities.

Currently we are soliciting auction and raffle prizes for this event. If you have something of value and in good condition that you do not need, please consider donating it to Amigos. Appropriate items include artworks, ceramics and glassware, housewares, clothing and accessories, jewelry, electronics, furniture, automotive supplies, toys, and pet supplies and equipment.

Likewise, if you have a talent or service you can offer as an auction prize, here’s your chance to shine. Are you a good cook, a musician, an expert in some field, a teacher? Feel free to use your imagination. The more creative or unusual the prize, the more likely it is to attract bids.

If you will send Susan Castelazo (susancastelazo@yahoo.com) a description or photograph of your prize and your phone number, she will contact you to discuss the details. Please let us hear from you by the middle of February. Auction prizes offered to us after February 22 will be held for next year’s auction or regretfully declined. Raffle prizes can be accepted until February 26.

It’s the support from people like you that has enabled Amigos de los Animales to serve the community and its companion animals for the past 15 years. With your help we have sterilized more than 12,000 dogs and cats, raised the public’s awareness of companion animals’ needs through our numerous education activities, and supported the rescue and rehabilitation of more than 2,500 homeless and neglected animals.
