"800" calls to the US
I've been reading this forum for months and not posting. Now 2 in the same morning! After being informed yesterday that a book purchase online was rejected for a credit card problem, I ignored it since all the other purchases appeared to have gone thru. I figured the book wasn't available or something. Then today it happened again. I went to the credit card site and there was a red warning about suspicious activity. I had to get in touch with them.

I called 090 to get an operator to help. She said I can call direct and if it doesn't go thru, then try the # with 880. That worked but I got a recording that I would be charged for the call. I hung up and remembered that there's a # on the card for calling from out of the country and had the operator do it. But that's good news that we CAN make 800 calls. Sometimes it is near impossible to find a regular # to call and the 800 #s just wouldn't work for me. Oh, the credit card problem? It was suspicious that I was ordering single books (MX history) from individual sellers in Canada.

RE: "800" calls to the US
You can make free 800 calls to U.S. call centers in Bangalore with a subscription to Skype-Out and the latest Skype clients for PC or Mac. The clients have a virtual touch-tone dialpad, which is necessary to navigate through these infernal voice-response systems, which will then put you on hold for 20 minutes before you can actually speak to a customer service representative - another reason you need a subscription to Skype-Out or other VOIP provider which will recognize dial tones.

Once connected, you can always marca 2 para espa?ol. The wait is much shorter.
