Adventure in busing or if it says Mega

Why the He## does it not go to Mega?
Left my apartment just off the Presa yesterday mid morning. Waited at the bus stop & soon a bus with a number of destination listed on it's windshield including MEGA my preferred destination. I board paying my 5 pesos.
Past the ball park into the subterranean street BUT instead of going to the left leading to the tunnel that comes out near the Mega it took the tunnel to the right coming out what was obviously the area behind the University. As we went along I saw the back of The Peace Plaza then into an area I recognized as where I caught a bus to Delores Hildalgo two years ago. Then down passing the Commercial. Should I just get off foregoing the Mega? But what the heck it is an adventure!
Soon zipping pass the Frog Park so I am thinking Aha! We heading the right way.
Alas we are soon heading up into the hills eventually arriving at Plaza de Toro (I beleive) where the driver turns around stopping at a nearby bus stop ordering me off the bus! I protest pointing to the Mega sign to no avail. So off I get while he takes what may be his break, lunch hour or whatever.
After a few minutes another bus marked "Presa" pulls up. Dare I get on risking another 5 peso sight seeing Journey? Just then a empty cab comes by & I hail the driver telling him Mega Por Favor.
I am soon at the Mall my original destination.
So my question. IF IT SAYS Mega Why does it NOT go there?
Anyways a cheap tour.

It may only go to the Mega on days when the moon is full and the wind blows from the east, or they may have forgotten to wash the window when they changed the route?

At least you had a good tour. ;-)

Drat those darn moon cycles & wind directions. That's why I quit sailing.
PS Did not know they ever wash the bus windshield.

One time, I wanted to go to Marfil, so I got on a camioneta that said "Marfil SEDE". That didn't turn out very well.

It does -when it is headed toward the Presa not away from it.
