Plazuelas?
Has anyone been here?
It's located 11 Ks west of Penjamo off Highway 90 & Southwest of Irapuato.
With a full two months in Guanajuato this Winter I intend to do a more through exploration of the state.
Including a few days in Queretaro & finally (at last) a bit of time in San Miguel.
I've been to Delores Hidalgo, Irapuato & Leon (several times) so looking for other interesting day/overnight trips in the state.
I really enjoy exploring Pre-Spanish sites as well as post ones
Any & all suggestions welcome.

RE: Plazuelas?
Visited the site a few years back. Very nice restoration of a pyramids and a well-designed museum. May have changed but at that time the turnoff of
the highway was not well marked. A little restaurant there was closed but
all these years later everything may be up to snuff. a pleasant day trip.

RE: Plazuelas?
I love Patzcuaro and visit there often I have a few friends that live there. 4hrs on the bus 3 to Morelia then a more local bus to Patz. You don't want to scratch the surface, you want to dig deep. The villages around the lake are great to visit. The deeper you dig the better it gets. One of my favorite magic towns in Mexico.read up on Vasco de Quiroga one of the few good Spaniards and there are some nice ancient ruins close to town. Quiroga had a dream of Utopia and tried to create it around the lake. All the villages specialize in different crafts pottery. copper. wood work. etc.
