RE: Caution LaConexion
Our experience with the Mexican mail system since 1999 has been pretty much like others here, if it is just a plain looking letter, usually comes through in about 10-16 days. However, if it is other types , especially "official looking" mail, better than a 50 % chance that it will not get here. Some do, some don't. We find it best to use FedEx if we really want to be sure we get something. I knew a Mexican lady who received just one of 9 checks sent to Mexico from the US government, in behalf of her deceased husband. The others were cashed in Mexico and in the US by different people. She has lost over 7,500.00 USD, as supposedly she waited too late to report it. They "forgot" to notify her that they were sending them. :(
Now, they use direct deposit. |
