temporary resident visa ?
Okay, so we went to SMdA today, filed our paperwork, paid our fee. no problems. We are supposed to return next week for fingerprinting. Now, my question(s):
1) after the finger printing we have to return to get our visas. I thought they said 2-3 weeks, my husband thought they said 2-3 days. Which is it? 2) I know we are not supposed to leave the country for 30 days. is that from today (the day we began the visa process) or 30 days from when we receive our visas? I ask these questions because my husband has a business trip to Ecuador in September. Any and all info is appreciated |

RE: temporary resident visa ?
Hola
-1 Why SMA so hilly and a long drive - much easier to go to Leon 1 I don't think they are actually Visas [which go in your passport] but never-the-less you can check the time line on-line. You should have had a Pieza before going to SMA and then after they accepted your documents they would give you a hoja with a contrase?a. With that you can go to the INM website and follow the progress of your tramite. 2. You are 'not supposed to leave the country' until you have vaild immigration documents [who misinformed you about the '30 days'?] - but if you need to do so there is an'App for that ' - Solictiud to INM - I forget what it is called. But in reality you should be OK as it, without snags, generally takes less than 30 days for a Prolongaci?n or Refrendo to be processed/tramitado. ? What's going on in Ecuador in September as gtolisters seem to be bailing out for GYE or QIO in September |

RE: temporary resident visa ?
We used Sony Diaz <soniangel32@hotmail.com> in SMA as she is a highly well trained professional who charges very little to expedite the entire process.
She said 2-3 Weeks. We too have a trip to Ecuador in Sept. she assured us that we can get a visa in/out for about $600 pesos if our requested Visa has not arrived. |
