RE: would someone who subscribes to both lists copy & paste about the English Library
Here's the info about the library:
The English Library is still extant! Many new donations have come in and by the efforts of a few, the books have been reshelved and reorganized. We now have many more good fiction books. And the supplies of mysteries, light fiction and science fiction and fantasy are plentiful. The library is open from Monday - Friday 10 - 4 in the Jardin de Juegos in Encino - the barrio just before Pueblito de Rocha. From Centro take the Pueblito de Rocha bus. The library is free. Go into the Jardin - towards the back - through the Marmalejo library gate and you will find the books in the back of the computer room. There is some free parking. The library is closed holidays. We have this library due to the efforts of many, but most recently we thank Anna Adams and Hank Noordam who were responsible for the move to Encino when the library had to leave the Casa de Cultura. There is a serious discussion regarding a possible move of the library back to Centro near Baratillo. That would not occur before February 2013 or later. The contact person will be Karen Robinson, 044 473 560 6406. On your Honor. Read it. Return it. Shelve it! -Please hold any donations until you receive more information. |
