One in 300: Incredibly rare white lion born in Mexico makes its debut at one month

An extremely rare snow white lion cub met the media on Monday, its first official appearance since it was born on September 14.
The little lion, whose name has not yet been released, made its debut at Leon's Zoo in the city of Leon, in the Mexican state of Guanajuato.

White lions are a very rare subspecies that predominately live in zoos and the new baby is one of an estimated population of only 300.

As a zoo lover I will put that on my list of things to do this year.
How is the zoo rated over all? Found the one in Morelia over all good except some of the big cat enclosers. Guadalajara's very nice.

I think the Leon Zoo s about the same size as Morelia - maybe a bit larger. The Morelia Zoo seems more 'spacious' spread out than Leon. Both are in very nice park-like settings. Leon has a "Safari" park next to it but I haven't tried it yet. Cost for zoo is 36 pesos per adult. There is also another zoo nearby in Irapuato.

Yes the safari park looks interesting, at least to me with my "toddler's" Spanish.
Their website also shows a gorgeous white Tiger.
Looks like that's one day I have filled.
