Please tell your friend to NEVER buy a puppy from a pet store or breeder unless they can actually visit the mother and father of the puppies and see they are living in healthy, loving conditions which is not likely. Buying puppies just perpetuates the indiscriminate breeding of pure bred dogs for profit, and those breeding pairs are kept in filthy cages for their entire lives, develop serious health and psychological problems without receiving any veterinary care and when they are of no use any more are thrown away. Puppies from these breeders are unhealthy and usually develop parvo virus or distemper. If a person really loves animals they will not support a cruel industry by purchasing a puppy.
