Adult co-housing
Hello, everyone

I've lived and worked in Guanajuato 20 years, plan to retire in the near future, and RIGHT HERE. Have been researching co-housing, a concept that is well-established in Europe and Scandinavia, and has recently gained momentum, especially among U.S. "boomers". In a nutshell, it involves one large community building which offers shared facilities combined with individual/independent cottages nearby. Residents typically share costs and responsibility for maintaining the shared living areas, and managing services, as well as participate democratically in decisions related to the community. This concept provides both the economic and social advantages of shared living, and the privacy of individual space. I have a house on a mountaintop overlooking the city that would be easily convertible to the communal house and land to build individual cottages. It's located in an ecological zone with water views of the Presa Soledad on one side and the city below on the other, about 20 minutes from the centro. Am looking for a group of 10-14 adults, ages 30-70 who would be interested in the possibilities of establishing a small cohousing community.
