Trump's strategy is based on having legislation passed that would ban, totally, or otherwise Restrict banks or financial intermediaries from making remittances to Mexico. Such legislation currently exists against Somalia and other "terrorist" states. With this in hand he effectively could blackmail the Mexican government to do his bidding, Pay for wall?, or he shuts off the money leaving the USA.
Likely? No. Possible? Yes. |
