Paper prices probably reflect scarcity here of suitable, ie pine, trees. There is however a large Kmberly Clark paper mill south of Morelia. Our eight years here tell me that almost anything that involves processing, cereals and anything in a box or can, will be costly while anything natural, fresh foods for example, will be less expensve than NoB. You can eat, at home, quite cheaply here if you stick to fresh meats, veggies and fruits.
