A good carpenter is Hernán Cortés, cell 044-473-114-2751.

Regarding "Gringo prices," I've lived here fourteen years and have never been charged such prices on any kind of work on my home. However, if you approach home contractors with the attitude that they might try to rip you off, they well might.
