Salt & Health

Well, I will open my big mouth. Yes, I agree that salt is bad for us -- in excess. So is fat, sugar, sodas, and ALCOHOL -- in excess. Are restaurants going to reduce or take away those items also? I think NOT.

I, for one, enjoy my salt, and at times, add more that I need to. But I am 67 years old and I think I am capable of knowing what is good and bad for me. I consciously decide whether to add it or not. I don?t need the "salt police". So, I shall carry my own salt shaker from now on. HA! :P

The truth of the matter is that IF it saves the restaurants money they?ll do it without a fight. If they had to reduce or take away sugar, fat, or ALCOHOL, because is bad for your health, habit forming, and/or (like salt) in excess, it will kill you, we would see them fighting for THEIR right to MAKE MONEY. Trust me, it has NOTHING to do with our health. They couldn't care less. Let?s not kid ourselves...
