There are two types of yeast here: levadura seca and levadura h?meda. We've found the former at the Mega--next to the birthday candles, as you say--but like so many things at the Mega, it comes and goes.
Gela prefers levadura h?meda. It's sometimes available in various panificadoras (as opposed to panader?as), but we've found over the years that it also comes and goes. Lately we've found it at a hole-in-the-wall store about halfway up Mendiz?bal, the steep street that heads up toward the Alh?ndiga just before you get to Mercado Hidalgo. Don |
