RE: Water Zone 2
Yeah, waiting for la pipa now, 14 years in Mexico and this is the worst water situation to date. At least in Barra de Navidad when there in no water for six days the ayuntamento send a water truck around and everyone who is current in their account gets their tinaco or aljebe or both filled. The bunch here just keep shining us on about which zone we are in.
We have had no water since Wednesday so our aljebe is empty, along with every other aljebe on our little private street. I still have water in my tinaco but not much, some neighbours with two kids who use more water than we do were bathing with purified water this morning so they could get to work and get their kids to school. The water department are just a joke. They kept telling us all yesterday that we'd have water 'later' because we are zone 2 and it takes time for the water to climb up here above the panoramica. Well suprise suprise the water never arrived and now the story this morning from the jokers in the water department is that we are NOW zone 1 so the water was to start today, 2:30 and still no water. It would be faster to bring it up the hill by mule train. I told the woman on the phone soy extranjera no tonta. I don't think these jokers have enough water available that it will EVER make it up the hill to us. Seems that they should have started this little water rationing plan of theirs last September when it was obvious that the 'rainy' season was not going to happen for 2011. I suppose now we'll get on a regular schedule for the 'pipa' - which is now two hours over due - until the rains start, hopefully in May? So, Lola the neighbour's maid just came by to tell me there is a huge line up at the place where they fill the pipas and our truck is next in line... guess I am not the only one in this boat and I should just suck it up and enjoy my view from up here in no water land. |
