Water Update

The discussion of water service here on the Gtolist has apparently caught the attention of Simapag and compelled it to swift action. :rolleyes: According to both the Correo newspaper and Simapag's own website, a new water-distribution scheme will soon take effect.

The main difference is that each of the two zones will now have water for a period of 36 hours, followed by no water for 36 hours. (Previously, the scheme was 24 hours on, 48 off.) Simapag's calendar indicates that this will go into effect fully on Saturday at noon, when Zona 1 will begin 36 hours of water service, while Zona 2 will begin 36 hours of no water. Simapag expects this scheme to last about three months.

Sounds simple, right? But wait . . . In the Correo article, Simapag's director says water will be available in both zones on the weekends during the holiday period. If that's true, then I guess the scheme described above will go into effect on Monday. Or something like that. But if that's the case, why hasn't Simapag updated its calendar accordingly? ?Qui?n sabe?

In any case, it should be interesting to see if our actual water service bears any resemblance to the newly outlined scheme. In the meantime, I for one will heed laconstance's words of wisdom: "When we have water, we have it; when we don't, we don't. Simple! Easy to understand!"
