If the new Marfil possibility doesn't pan out, the next best option for renting a car is either at the airport or from the multiple car rental agencies on Lopez Mateos in León.
In terms of the airport, there is limited UNEBUS bus service to/from BJX and the Central Camionera in Guanajuato. If you can sync up with the schedule, a relatively expensive taxi isn't necessary. Current posted schedule is here: https://www.unebus.com.mx/#/inicio |
