You can join the facebook group SENDERISMO EN GUANAJUATO. This Monday night is "noche de la bufa" when many people climb up to the Bufa at dusk. There will be lots of people then, and the following day, but otherwise, I don't recommend hiking up there alone, or anywhere else at any time.
