wouldn't consider any of those places flat, except maybe Calderones, but to me it seemed dusty and unattractive, maybe something that Clint Eastwood would ride into.

It's very common to see people riding down the street on horseback there. And, if you walk in the general direction of La Bufa, there's an authentic Boot Hill.

Walk a bit further in that direction, and you'll come to a caldera. That's where the name of the town came from.
