Don may or may not be correct on this subject regarding the difference between TASERS and STUN GUNS and their legality here in MEXICO. GUNS are generally illegal to own or use in MEXICO. AIRGUNS are bought and sold LEGALLY to the public for a number of purposes, and also can be used for self-defense legally. STUN GUNS that use a very-high-voltage discharge when a trigger is pressed are in the same class regarding the public and legality. Just two months ago, more than one municipal police officer not only saw them being sold in the embajadores, they had absolutely no problem with the sales, and, they informed me that is IS legal in MEXICO to defend yourself with one. Some of these STUN GUNS have a voltage high enough to incapacitate a person, while others are at the intense end of pain deliverance. Tecnically, TASER refers to a patented device that operates at a distance, and any STUN-GUN device does not operate at a distance, yet can have a powerful incapacitance effect. They are both approved for use in many American Cities. I've see all strengths and forms of STUN GUN devices sold in the embajadores, legally sold there, some looking like a flashlight with stun capability, while others are cigarette-sized box types, all the way up to a large, very powerful hand-held device.

I appreciate all the comments having just gone through it myself. I was pretty well battened down but they still got in at about 2 in the afternoon. According to the police they believe they had a professional lock smith on board because I had 2 high quality locks picked not forced. And they must of made a hell of a lot of noise unfortunately my closest neighbor about 30 inches away was not home. I'm not going anywhere I will just double my efforts. Yesterday (MONDAY) I spoke to one of the municipal police officers whom I know personally, about the gang of thieves that lurk around the tunel noreste, and he said that they (the POLICE) are very aware of them, but have no proofs of their thefts to be able to arrest them. I believe that if some of us, as a group, go to the central municipal police office, and speak to the commanding officer in charge, that we can design a way to catch these maldito ladrones in the act, and get them put behind bars. If we are serious about stopping this group who are getting more bold day by day, we'll have to put some time, energy, planning and even money where our mouths are.
