TRAVEL INFORMATION - meroberts - 04-26-2011

Attached is travel information for ETN and TuriStar as well as PRIMERA Plus schedules. Sometimes when we need it the most they are not available to us. Enjoy!

The bus company web sites don't seem to be working at all with the Google Chrome browser, and poorly with Firefox. However, they do work well with the new Internet Explorer 9. I hate to give Microsoft its due, but at least for Windows users, IE9 seems to be the most reliable browser right now.

I wouldn't recommend purchasing the actual bus tickets online, as your transaction is likely to crash during the hand-off to and from the bank, and you'll be left wondering whether your transaction went through or not, and end up frantically phoning the call center.

Thank you Kasugie for your helpful input. If anyone else can add any other negative or positive experience, it would be appreciated.

Thanks, Martha, for the useful information.

Kasugie, I can't speak to Google Chrome, but I've had no problem at all with the ETN and Primera Plus websites in Firefox 4 on a Windows PC. I avoid Internet Explorer like the plaga.

But I second your warning about buying bus tickets online. I once made this mistake with ticketbus.com.mx (an agency for bus lines serving mostly D.F. and southern Mexico), and the result was a Visa dispute that dragged on for five months. I won in the end, but I won't repeat the experience.

As always, YMMV.
