Lowest ATM fees - Clemens - 12-22-2021
Hello all expats!
I was hoping for some insights from you withdrawing cash pesos in Guanajuato. What is your low fee ATM recommendation? I am using a US based PayPal Debit card to get cash. I was always going to CI Banco before and now they just raised the fee from 18 pesos to 58 pesos. Are there any cheaper ones in town? I am talking about the case where the card issuer has NO ATM partners in Mexico that will waive the fee. (they usually eat you up secretly with other Currency transaction fees).

The lowest ATM fee I know of is currently at Caja Popular Mexicana, 17 pesos.
Don't know which of their locations have ATM's, but the one by the Hotel Real de Minas and the Megacable office definitely has one.

The Banamex atm charges 30 pesos for withdrawals.

If you see being here for a lengthy stay you might investigate having a Charles Schwab account as they cover all ATM and international transaction fees you incur.
Very popular with many expats.
