Doyle had a very touching memorial service with several of his good friends relating experiences with him here in Guanajuato. On our Zoom connected memorial service we also had the privilege of meeting his brother and sister and other relatives. It was remarkable how much Doyle's younger brother favored him. We also got to hear experiences presented by relatives and good friends in his home town of Big Spring, Texas. There was also a video played of Doyle himself describing the chance-meeting of Bob Dylan during his younger days and some of his family members also shared a photo that appeared in a publication Doyle published and we saw the photo of Doyle and members of Bob Dylan's band in the magazine.
Doyle was such a very rich character and so full of life and imagination. He will remain a part of those who he met and who knew him well for as long as they shall live. I feel I am a richer person for having known Doyle and he will be duly missed. God bless you Doyle and may you find the peace in the next life that too often causes us to fade from these frail and meek bodies which simply cannot keep up with the fire of our everlasting spirit.
