Back to US -- renewing Visa - TulieB - 03-19-2020
We are heading back (driving) to US on Sunday 3/22. Our Visas are expiring so we have to get back.
Next trip we will get our permanente....
While picking up supplies at La Comer on Monday, I met an expat who said that we can renew our Visa at BJX -- just pay the $575 and get six more months! My question is, does anyone know if it is that easy when driving the car?

The Mexico-Guatemala border has been shut down by Guatemala longer than the US side of Mexico and a couple on the Panamerican Traveler forum just renewed both the TIP and Visa on the Mexico side of the Guatemala border without having to go into Guatemala so if that is any indication, hopefully the same should be true at the US border but I cannot speak with first hand experience. I'd ask on the San Miguel "civil list" as you will find a lot more people there who may have tried it.
